About Vegetarianism

Vegetarianism is a way of living that seeks to exclude eating anything that came from taking an animal’s life for our sustenance.

Vegetarians generally base their practice of vegetarianism on concern for animal welfare or on the perceived health benefits to themselves of being on a vegetarian diet.

Studies about the benefits (or lack thereof) of a vegetarian diet suggest that vegetarians carry less body fat and have lower blood cholesterol levels than meat-eaters.

Other studies show a reduced risk of colorectal cancer, being about half that of non-vegetarians.
