I came from glasgow I booked a room and i was parked in their drive waiting for my partner there then the staff came outside and told me off and started harassing me and racially abusing me because I was parking there and they have dirty drive full of dirty mattresses which make me throw up right there #auratzaat
Okay the bed was fresh and the bathroom was spotless! But that was the only good thing about my stay!! The night I checked in I was told I had to check out by 11am I had four children with me so I woke up and got them dressed at about 10am I tried leaving my stuff in my room and going out for breakfast ( I would have been back in 40 minutes) the man (who was not the manager) started screaming at me right on front of my children saying take your stuff with you if you want to leave your stuff there you have to give me a deposit so I asked him if I’d get my deposit back when I collected my stuff and he shouted saying no you’ll get nothing back!! He was sitting there eating his breakfast and when I tried reasoning with him he just kept shouting saying don’t be telling me your business it was a holy disgrace I will never book in there again and I advise anyone with children to stay away!! My poor children just wanted a breakfast and they stood there looking at this man eating his breakfast and shouting at me!! He should never be aloud to deal with guests!!
It was quiet and the people who worked for the hotel were not so friendly with the people that recommended their service to me. The room door had no lock and my mobile phone and cigarettes, were stolen along with my oyster card and some cash. The Hotelier allowed the perpetrator entry to the property thinking the person was my guest. The guest policy of the Hotelier is," No Guest are allowed in the rooms or in the hotel unless they are alredy a paying customer staying at the hotel.
You can’t beat this for location, less than 5mins walk to either central station or Lime st station. I loved the character of this once regal hotel but like me as I age it’s not what it use to be. However my room was warm and cosy, the bed was clean and fresh, the bathroom spacious, with a great flush on toilet and always piping hot water. The food was tasty and hot and with a good choice, puddings a bit of a let down. Staff were run ragged and did their best but under pressure all the time. I would definitely stay here again. The value for money was exceptional You can’t expect 5 star luxury at these prices. If that’s what you want go elsewhere and pay for it. Thank you to the Adelphi for a lovely stay.
Cockroaches in rooms. Most things in room outmoded. Kettle in very bad shape, you wouldn’t want to use it. No shower curtain in my room. Room not as bright as picture depicts. Yes very helpful and friendly staff. Surprisingly, I was stopped by a lady manager, I guess she’s the only female manager there from using the common kitchen. Generally I wasn’t impressed at all with the rooms and the lady manager except all other staffs
